Speaking of Harmony - Episode 5 - Altered SubDominants

In this episode I talk a lot about altered subdominants, a very nice class of chords that can add so much color to the progressions. Main focus is on the altered IV degree with the raised Root, how it occurs so much in Brazilian popular songs and a little bit about the more famous "Neapolitan 6th", the classic altered II degree with the lowered root. Bunch of technical names but awesome sounds nonetheless. Enjoy!
